From 15 to 19 December 2025, the AGU25 Annual Meeting was held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Prof. Chao Zhang of Hunan University co-convened the session “Water Phase Transitions in Porous Media: From Pore-Scale Mechanisms to Geosystem Evolution.” The session focused on phase-transition processes in porous media, including evaporation, condensation, freezing, and thawing, and their connections to hydrological and geomechanical processes across scales.

The AGU25 scientific program included both poster and oral components of this session on 15 December 2025.
