UNSAT Lab Attends ICE 2025: Ice at the Micro-scale
From 20 to 25 July 2025, members of the UNSAT Lab at Hunan University, including Prof. Chao Zhang and Shaojie Hu, attended ICE 2025: Ice at the Micro-scale at Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland.
The conference brought together researchers from academic and industrial communities to discuss microscopic processes governing ice formation, including ice nucleation, recrystallization, solute and colloid effects, and ice growth in confinement.
The official programme included the contribution “Pore Ice Nucleation and Propagation via Water Nanofilms” by Chao Zhang, Shaojie Hu, and Dani Or, as well as a poster by Shaojie Hu entitled “Salts Decelerate Ice Crystal Growth in Supercooled Droplets during Recalescence.”
