Shaojie Hu Joins Vadose Zone Journal as Social Media Editor
In January 2025, Shaojie Hu, a member of the UNSAT Lab at Hunan University, joined Vadose Zone Journal (VZJ) as a Social Media Editor. In this role, he helps communicate new research from the journal to a broader audience through social-media platforms, including X and LinkedIn.
Vadose Zone Journal is an international peer-reviewed journal focusing on the vadose zone—the region extending from the land surface to groundwater. Established in 2002 by Rien van Genuchten, the journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for research spanning soil physics, hydrology, geophysics, biogeochemistry, environmental science, and related fields. It is published by Wiley on behalf of the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).
Shaojie conducted both his undergraduate and doctoral studies at Hunan University under the supervision of Prof. Chao Zhang. His research focuses on unsaturated soils, poromechanics, and phase equilibrium and phase transitions in porous media.
