Members of the UNSAT Lab at Hunan University, Shaojie Hu and Yuhan Yang, received First Prize and Second Prize, respectively, in the Student Awards of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Unsaturated Zone Technical Committee.

The awards recognized their presentations in the session “Soil Water Phase Transitions: Multiscale Characterization, Hydrological Modeling, and Implications for Critical Zone Science Poster”, convened by Chao Zhang and Ning Lu. The presentations were given at AGU24, held from 9 to 13 December 2024 in Washington, D.C.
